Don Toliver’s “Lovesick”

Don Toliver's fourth studio album, "Lovesick Deluxe," was released in February of last year and has 20 tracks, each of which provides an exceptional feeling and continues to demonstrate Don's musical range. Many notable appearances on the album include Travis Scott, Toliver's girlfriend and artist Kali Uchis, legend Charlie Wilson, and Justin Beiber, among others.

Don Toliver is highly recognized for his melodic tone in rapping and singing, flawless production, and ability to continuously bring an amazing aura and perform very well while doing features.

Throughout the project, there are various emotions of love, including ups and downs and a seductive atmosphere. Track 8, "4 Me" featuring Kali Uchis, was an unexpected but enjoyable song on this project. The sample of Beenie Man's "Girls Dem Sugar" combined with the rap and R&B elements make this one of the standout tracks.

There's plenty of captivating, euphoric music on this album that will put you in a trance, including "No Pole," "Embarrassed" featuring Travis Scott, "Company Pt. 3," and "Cinderella." These songs showcase Don's signature sound. When you listen to his music, he can transport you into his universe, leaving you with an audible psychedelic feeling.

This is a very nicely put-together and finished product. This is not the record to go to for heavy rap lyrics. Don's albums typically have a particular subject matter, and this album is intended to be more of a nostalgic and joyful album. His upcoming record, slated to be released this year, is more rock-influenced, a direction he hasn't taken yet. Is Don Toliver among the most diverse artists in music? Will you be tuned in for his new album?
