Mooke Micheaux is a portrait and fine art photographer based in Atlanta, GA, specializing in capturing the beauty and culture of Black people. Raised in Queens New York and an Air Force veteran, Mooke best describes his work as “visual poetry”. Inspired by the women in his life Mooke’s photography focuses on portraying Black women in a regal and empowering light -- exploring their many facets and peeling back the layers of their pain. He aims to create images that reflect their dignity, strength, and individuality. He is passionate about using photography to challenge perceptions and celebrate the richness of Black culture. As a Head of Photography for Seventy7 Magazine, an Atlanta-based publishing company, Mooke’s photography is taking Atlanta by storm.
